Wayne Lenhoff, owner of Lenhoff Construction
(Lincoln), has worked with ATP since 2001 and enjoys working on
projects for ATP, because he feels he is giving something back to
consumers and the community. Jim Domingo with Domingo Construction
(Crawford) agrees. “I like it because people are so appreciative
of what is being done for them,” Jim said. Jim has completed
many types of projects from half steps and widening doorways to
wheelchair ramps and bathroom modifications.
Ken Gerdes with Active Life (Cozad) builds and installs decks, steps,
vertical lifts and wider doorways for ATP consumers out in western
Nebraska. “Overall, I think it (ATP) is a fantastic program,”
Ken stated. Ken has worked construction for 40 years and recently
decided to turn most of his attention to ATP projects. He enjoys
the traveling as well as seeing and meeting different people.
ATP continues to look for contractors for entrance modifications,
accessible bathrooms and installation of grab bars and railings.
